What our retail & leisure cleaning covers

Every programme is built around your premises, your trading hours and the customer-facing standard your space needs to maintain.

  • Shop Floors & Sales Areas. Cleaning of shop floors, aisles and sales areas, including floors, surfaces and displays, keeping the customer-facing space clean and presentable throughout trading.
  • Changing Rooms & Fitting Areas. Regular cleaning of changing rooms, mirrors and fitting areas, maintaining the tidy, hygienic spaces customers expect when they try and buy.
  • Cafés & Seating Areas. Cleaning of café, dining and seating areas, covering tables, chairs and floors, supporting a clean and comfortable environment for customers and diners.
  • Customer Washrooms. Cleaning and sanitising of customer and staff washrooms, with attention to fixtures, touch points and consumables, keeping facilities presentable during busy periods.

  • Floors & High-Traffic Areas. Vacuuming, mopping and hard-floor care across busy customer routes, keeping floors clean and safe underfoot in the areas that see the most footfall.

How We Work

Every venue is different, so we plan each retail and leisure programme around your premises, your trading hours and how your space is used, then deliver it with the supervision and reporting that keep standards consistent.

01. Site Survey & Specification

We visit your premises to understand the layout, footfall and the customer-facing standard you need to maintain. From there we build a clear specification, schedule and price that fits your trading hours, so everyone knows exactly what is being delivered.

02. Mobilisation & Onboarding

We assign a directly employed, vetted cleaning team and put the equipment, consumables and access arrangements in place. Site-specific COSHH and RAMS documentation is prepared, and operatives are inducted to your premises before cleaning begins.

03. Ongoing Delivery & Supervision

Cleaning is delivered around your trading hours by a consistent team and overseen by a supervisor who carries out regular site checks. Tasks and quality are logged so your customer-facing areas stay presentable day after day.

04. Account Management & Reporting

You have a single named account manager as your point of contact. We review performance with you, provide completion reporting on request, and adjust the specification around seasonal demand and trading patterns.

Who is it for?

We work with customer-facing retail and leisure premises that need to stay clean and welcoming, with most of our work supporting store managers, venue operators and facilities teams across London.

  • Shops and stores needing clean, presentable sales floors
  • Retail units with changing rooms and customer washrooms
  • Cafés, restaurants and venues with seating and dining areas
  • Leisure and hospitality premises with high customer footfall
  • Multi-site retailers wanting one contract across several locations

As a Living Wage Employer focused on local employment, working with Optimum supports the social value and ESG commitments increasingly expected across commercial and public-sector contracts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Cost depends on the size of your premises, the cleaning specification and how often you need the work carried out. Cleaning is priced per visit or per month against an agreed scope, which makes budgeting straightforward and works out more cost-effective than ad-hoc cleaning. We provide free, no-obligation quotes following a site survey.
